Resources & Downloads for families

We want to help you enjoy and prepare for Jesus’ birthday together this season!

We’ve designed an advent activity for you, but we’ve also provided a list of other resources and links that may be helpful as well.

Whatever you decide, our hope is that you & your family experience the hope, peace, love and joy of God’s presence the Christmas!

Jesus Storybook Bible – Free!
This site has a free printable calendar and reading guide. So if you have the Jesus Storybook Bible (and if you have a kid in the Preschool class they will be getting their own on Sunday!) this is perfect!

Christmas Story Advent Calendar
This woman has a free printable download that I’ve used in the past. It has a small scripture to read everyday and is quite cute to display.

Thriving Home: Good News of Great Joy: A Family Christmas Devotional
A weekly devotional for the entire family

Reading Plan and Advent Calendar for kids
I haven’t used this one before but I think it looks great. It has scripture to read everyday and some helpful tips on how to make your own advent calendar that even an uncrafty person like myself could manage.

Jesse Tree
Maybe you’ve heard of the Jesse Tree tradition, maybe you haven’t. This woman’s blog is super helpful – but fair warning! – it is a little labour intensive. So you have just over a week to get ready!

The Greatest Gift by Ann Voskamp
If you don’t have her adult devotional and you love beautifully contemplative writing you should order the book.
But she also did a kids version that looks beautiful and I can imagine would be excellent.

Random Acts of Kindness Calendar
A great challenge for the entire family!
Or, here is a blank template to make your own!
