Serving Others

Our Commitment

At The Well we are committed to not only telling others about the saving grace of Jesus Christ, but by compassionately serving those burdened by the injustices of poverty and slavery throughout the world and right here in our community.

We are honoured to be able to partner with the Kids in Crisis centre, a home for children infected and affected by HIV/Aids in Conakry, Guinea West Africa. Through the tireless love and effort of the leadership team in Guinea this home is not only providing for these children’s physical needs – medicine, shelter and clothing – but also for their emotional and spiritual growth in ways that can only be described as miraculous. While we help them provide for these children through extensive fundraisers, prayer and mission trips, their commitment to the Lord and to the people of Guinea spurs us on to a deeper relationship with Christ.

Here at home, the community at The Well Community Church is active in supporting a variety of local initiatives that aid the impoverished people of Toronto. By partnering with like-focused organizations around the city we hope to show in practical ways the love of Christ to those who may never have the opportunities the majority of us take for granted.

Kids In Crisis Centre, Guinea

Their Home. Their Health. Their Safety.

Kids in Crisis is a dynamic and critical project which operates out of Conakry, Guinea. Specifically, the Kids in Crisis Centre is a permanent home that provides medical aid, nutrition, education and full-time shelter and care for children infected or affected by HIV and AIDS.

Since 2010 The Well Community Church has been partnering with Lizette Lavoie, a Canadian International Worker in Guinea, and Lazare & Faith 2 Guinean nationals deeply committed to serving, protecting and nurturing these children by sending teams of people to help their staff & love the kids, and also by raising funds to support this vital ministry.

Over the past 6 years we have sent 12 people on short-term mission trips and raised over $200,000 to support and grow this ministry – including purchasing land to build a permanent home for the KIC Centre.

Get Involved! Help us raise $40,000!

While we wait for the land permits to begin building, the costs of this growing ministry continue. With over 30 children in their care Kids In Crisis needs our help. That’s where you come in!

$40,000 is enough to cover rent, medical supplies and education for the children, and security for the centre for an entire year! Donations in 2016 will go to cover these practical daily needs.

Donations can be made through The Well Community Church, indicating “Guinea” on your cheque. There are no administration fees if you give this way – 100% of your donation goes to the KIC.

If you would prefer to give online go to Canada Helps.
