Together we can serve and support those in need
The Well's call to serve those around us
Our Commitment
To follow Jesus is not only to love and trust Him, but to imitate his life of compassion, liberation & mercy. This means serving those burdened by the injustices of poverty and slavery throughout the world and right here in our community.
Here at home, the community at The Well is active in supporting a variety of local initiatives that directly serve those in need, coming alongside like-minded organizations & partners.
Kids In Crisis, Guinea
We are proud to partner with local Guineans through our C&MA International Workers who have established a home to care for and support orphaned and abandoned children in Guinea, West Africa. Poverty, the stigma and impact of HIV, as well as other health issues make caring for babies and children nearly impossible for some families. Your donation to the Kids in Crisis project will provide food, medications, healthcare, education, housing and belonging to abandoned babies and children.
Lifeworthy
Lifeworthy provides and promotes safe community, spiritual care and healing opportunities for sex trafficking victims and their families. John Cassells and his team of dedicated staff and volunteers provide these faith-based programs.
Intervarsity
Help youth discover Jesus. Through your partnership, the next generation is being radically changed by Jesus. They are discovering what it means to love their neighbours, apply Scripture to all of life and embrace values that transcend culture.
Compassion Series
From kindergarten to post-secondary, each Compassion Series resource and presentation age-appropriately encourages children, youth and young adults to look at their world through the lens of compassion and to “bring hope, serve well, and celebrate” in all they do. For parents and educators, the focus centers on the philosophy that in order to teach compassion and goodness you must live a life of compassion and goodness.
Teen Challenge (King City)
The Teen Challenge Ontario Women’s centre is a 12-month in-residence faith based alcohol and drug addiction rehabilitation program program in the Greater Toronto Area. They offer help and hope to those struggling with alcoholism and/or addiction to other drugs. Those in addiction, their family and friends, begin their restoration at Teen Challenge.
To donate directly to the King City location, click the “Center to Support” drop down menu and click “Ontario Women’s Center”.
Victory House (Caledon)
The Victory House is a respite for women and their children in crisis, who are ready to transition to healthy community living through the embodiment of personal and spiritual growth based on Christian values. They aim to provide a safe, “next-step” home in the Dufferin-Caledon area for those in need. Help them bring this vision to life!
