I started at The Well in fall 2021 as an intern! If you can believe it, God used my schooling to bring me to this community (another example of how He really knows what he’s doing!). In winter 2023 I came on-board officially as the site pastor at Vaughan and had to stop signing my emails as “Meghan, the intern.”
It wasn’t my intention to be a pastor, previously I’ve worked with denominations and parachurch organizations, God had his own plans. This could really be the defining statement of my walk of faith–God has a plan. I came to understand that it is my job to listen to Him and go, regardless of my own ideas. Said another way, “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans!” Fortunately, in all of His plans, I have come to “taste and see the the Lord is good” (Psa 34), He has made me into a joyful person, full of delight and gratitude.
Being with the Vaughan Con has strengthened my own faith and my belief that we really are meant to be in a community of faith. Each week I get to see how Jesus is at work in the lives of our community, and that front row seat allows for observation of incredible acts of kindness, love, and generosity–three things I would say describe our community.
In addition to my role with The Well, I am an avid reader, painter, and chatter (honestly, please come talk to me!). I am also married to Jon, a man I would (conservatively) call the coolest guy ever.
