Love is Greater than Impatience
This message explores what Paul means by the fact that love is patient. The word patience actually means to suffer long with. Part of our impatience comes from the fact that we are driven, busy, hurried, task-oriented people; we prioritize stuff, ideas and tasks over people. And people do not behave how we want them to, and they therefore often block our goals. So we get impatient with them. Quite simply it means to go the speed of the other person, rather than trying to drag them along to think, act and live (or even believe) at our speed. Some of us can suffer “Short”, but to suffer long is something Jesus needs to teach us.
